Which would be a strange thing to launch here
This site is a record of 11 projects that launched a token and then stopped. Issuing one to celebrate that would be a joke with a very short shelf life, and we would end up as an entry on our own list — probably filed under dormant, cause of death "founder lost interest, subdomain expired".
The honest version
We did write the contracts. Early on this was going to be a registry with its own on-chain component: a small record contract and a free, capped membership pass. Both got built properly — non-upgradeable, unable to hold funds, fifty-six tests, the lot.
Then the research turned up what actually happened to everyone else who did that, and the case for deploying got noticeably weaker. The code is still in the repository, unused, which feels like the correct monument.
If it helps: the one clear pattern among the survivors is that the token was attached to something the operator was going to keep doing anyway. A website that lists things does not need a token, and saying so is cheaper than proving it later.
So how is this paid for
Plainly, since asking is fair:
- Nothing, currently. There is no paid tier, no data licence and no subscription. The whole record is free under CC BY, because charging would mean accounts, a database and a support obligation — and this site would stop being a set of files that needs nothing from anyone.
- Referral links on some post-mortems, only where the recommendation would stand without one, and always disclosed on the page.
- Nothing else. No sponsored entries, no paid placement, no way to buy your way off this list. If that changes it will be labelled on the page it affects, not buried here.
An entry cannot be bought, edited or removed by paying. It can be corrected for free, which is the only lever anyone gets and the only one worth having.
If someone offers you one
It is not us. There is no token, so anything claiming to be one is somebody else's project borrowing the name. We will not launch one without saying so on this page first, and this page will not quietly change — every version of it is in the public repository's history.
